Hebei Weitong FRP's Concentrator Tower Project for the Huaneng Zhengning Power Plant Successfully Completed

Recently, the Concentrator Tower No. 2 project for the Gansu Zhengning Huaneng Power Plant, undertaken by Hebei Weitong FRP Co., Ltd., officially concluded successfully.

The concentrator tower, measuring 4.5 meters in diameter and 20 meters in height, is a core component of the power plant's desulfurization system. The project utilizes a high-performance FRP integrated molding process, overcoming the limitations of traditional materials in terms of corrosion resistance, structural strength, and service life. Hebei Weitong's technical team achieved precise pre-assembly through 3D modeling and innovatively applied a segmented modular hoisting solution, achieving millimeter-level docking accuracy and effectively addressing the industry's challenges in high-altitude assembly of large towers.

"Once operational, this concentrator tower will help the power plant reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by over 800 tons annually," said the project leader. "Its 20-year maintenance-free nature will significantly reduce the plant's operating costs."
