Fiberglass Circulation Pipes

Fiberglass circulation pipes (also known as fiberglass reinforced plastic pipes, or FRP pipes) are composite pipes made primarily of resin, glass fiber, and quartz sand. They feature excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight, high strength, and long lifespan. They are widely used in circulating water systems, the chemical industry, power generation, and oilfield industries.

High corrosion resistance

Suitable for use in high-salinity, highly acidic and alkaline media (such as seawater, chlorinated wastewater, and hydrochloric acid), preventing electrochemical corrosion of metal pipes.

Customizable linings (such as vinyl resin or polyvinylidene fluoride resin) further enhance high-temperature resistance (up to 120°C) and chemical corrosion resistance.


Excellent hydraulic properties

The smooth inner wall (roughness coefficient of only 0.0084) reduces frictional resistance by over 30% compared to steel pipes. This allows for reduced pipe diameters or pump power for the same flow rate, resulting in significant energy savings.

No scaling issues and stable flow rates are achieved over long periods of use.


Lightweight, high strength, and long life

Weighing only 1/4 of steel pipe and 1/10 of concrete pipe, they are easy to transport and install. Designed for a 50-year lifespan, it offers low maintenance costs (no anti-corrosion coating or cathodic protection required).

Although the initial investment is higher (e.g., approximately 11,600 yuan/meter for DN3000 pipe), it reduces pump energy consumption by 30%-40%, is maintenance-free, and offers lower overall costs than metal pipes.

For example, a nuclear power plant's circulating water system uses FRP pipes, saving approximately 42.68 million yuan in electricity costs over 50 years.

Transport cooling water for nuclear and thermal power plants, withstanding seawater corrosion and high temperature swings.

Transport acidic and alkaline wastewater (such as 30% hydrochloric acid and chlorine-containing media), replacing carbon steel plastic-lined pipes.
