Form	Description	Features and Applications
Roving	A yarn bundle formed by plying parallel strands of yarn.	The mainstay of the winding, pultrusion, and injection molding processes. Provides primary strength.
Chopped Strand	Made by chopping roving.	Used in the compression molding (BMC/SMC) and injection molding processes, providing isotropy.
Surface Felt	Made from randomly laid monofilaments.	Used as the product's inner lining, this resin-rich layer provides corrosion and leakage protection, and conceals fiber grain.
Chopped Strand Felt	Made from randomly laid chopped strands secured with a binder.	Utilizing hand lay-up and vacuum infusion processes, this fabric offers excellent conformability and high interlayer strength.
Knitted Felt	Made from chopped strands stitched together in a coil structure.	Stronger than chopped strand mat, with faster resin penetration, suitable for hand lay-up and LRTM.
Fabric (Gingham/Axial)	Woven from yarn.	High strength and excellent lay-up design, suitable for hand lay-up and vacuum infusion, providing high strength in a specific direction.
